Insight Therapy offers counseling and medication management services in-person and via telemedicine to treat mental health disorders, and help people work through life and relationship issues. Our Nurse Practitioners can prescribe psychiatric medications for those seeking medication.

What is TeleTherapy?

Teletherapy is counseling or medication management that utilizes a secure video platform to meet with clients virtually instead of going into an office setting. We use live and interactive video conferencing to provide psychotherapeutic treatments. Our video platform, Sessions, is HIPPA-compliant, easy to use, and provides the client and therapist the ability to share screens in order to share literature, exercises, or worksheets utilized in sessions. The Sessions link is sent to each patient via email initially. The patient can bookmark the link for their provider in order to use the same link for each appointment. Sessions does not require any downloads.

What services are provided?

Individual, family, and couples counseling, as well as medication management, in-person and virtually. All sessions are typically about 50 minutes in length, but vary depending on the services needed. Treatment is tailored to fit the needs of each individual client or relationship. Insight Therapy serves children, adolescents, adults across the lifespan, families, and couples. What are our hours of availability?

We have providers available Monday-Sunday 7am-9pm, dependent upon the day and provider. Our providers range in their availability.

What payments are accepted?

Insurance or self-pay are accepted.

In-network insurances: Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, CareFirst, Cigna, ComPsych, Johns Hopkins EHP, Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan, Medicaid, Medicare, UMR, United Health Care/Optum, BHS, and Centerstone Military Services. These insurances vary by provider.

Many of our providers are Tricare certified, which means we are allowed to accept Tricare, but we are not considered in-network. Tricare benefit plans vary by each individuals plan/benefits.

WE ALWAYS CONDUCT A COMPLIMENTARY BENEFIT CHECK before services are rendered, to inform you of what you may owe with your specific insurance benefits.

Private pay can be accepted for all other insurances. At your request we can provide you with a super bill that you may submit directly to your insurance company for any services provided out-of-network. In addition, some plans have Out-of-network benefits. In this case, you may still have coverage for services even if the provider you want to work is not in-network with your insurance.

How do I get started?

During the intake process, we will ask for your insurance information, availability, preference of in-person or virtual services, and reason for seeking treatment. Gathering this information allows us to determine your benefits and eligibility for services. If you are eligible, then we will provide you with information on the available providers that meet your needs, as well as their specific available appointment times.

We also offer a Sliding Fee Scale (SFS) for patients paying privately. Often our SFS lowers the cost of counseling services and can be an affordable alternative when the cost of counseling is too high under certain insurance plans or if patients have a lapse in insurance coverage.
