Meet the Providers:

Kamiylah Lawson, PMHNP, Medical Director, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Coppin State University in 2014. After graduating, she worked as a registered nurse at Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson. In 2017, she broadened her work experience as a critical care nurse at MedStar Franklin Square. During her tenure at Franklin Square, she transferred to the inpatient adult psychiatric unit where she worked until returning to school to further her education. Kamiylah was admitted into the graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania. While at UPenn, she attended clinical rotations at Philadelphia Hospital, Penn Presbyterian Hospital, and Elwyn Behavioral Health Outpatient Services. After obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing in 2020, she returned to Baltimore to pursue her career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has worked as an inpatient attending nurse at Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson until 2023. She now works as an Outpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner seeing patients across the lifespan. She treats persons struggling with mood disorders (depression, bipolar), anxiety disorders (panic, generalized anxiety, OCD, social anxiety),  and psychotic disorders. Kamiylah provides supportive psychotherapy and medication management of symptoms.

Olayemi Ayilegbe, PMHNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 12 years of nursing experience in various health care settings. She completed her undergraduate studies at Southeast Missouri University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then received a master’s degree in nursing informatics from the University of Maryland followed by a Master’s of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Frontier University. She currently works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner; she is a compassionate provider who is committed to delivering care that is empathetic, non-judgmental, and patient-centered. Over the past year, Olayemi has offered evidence-based treatment that is tailored to the unique needs of each patient with medication management and psychotherapy.
