When Your Child Is Struggling, The Right Support Can Make A Difference
Many parents seek professional support when they begin to notice:

Their child seems anxious, overwhelmed, or frequently worried

Mood changes, irritability, or withdrawal from family and friends

Difficulty focusing, completing tasks, or keeping up in school

Trouble regulating emotions, frustration, or frequent meltdowns

Changes in sleep, appetite, or motivation
At Insight Therapy and Wellness, we understand that children and teens experience mental health challenges differently than adults. Our goal is to provide supportive, developmentally informed care that helps children feel understood while giving parents clear guidance and tools.
A Collaborative Approach to Child Mental Health
Every child is different, and mental health care should reflect that.
Our team works closely with both children and parents to understand what is happening and create a thoughtful plan for support.
We take time to:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations
- Provide child and teen counseling tailored to developmental needs
- Offer psychological testing when additional clarity is needed
- Discuss medication options carefully when appropriate
- Support parents with guidance and strategies at home
- Coordinate care with schools, pediatricians, or other providers when helpful
Whether your child is navigating school stress, emotional challenges, attention difficulties, or developmental concerns, our providers work to meet them where they are.

Does my child need therapy, medication, or testing?
Every child’s situation is different, and the right type of support depends on their specific symptoms, history, and developmental needs.
For many children, counseling is the first step, helping them learn coping skills, emotional regulation, and ways to communicate their experiences more clearly.
In some cases, psychological testing may be recommended to better understand concerns related to attention, learning, development, or emotional functioning. Testing can provide clear answers that help guide treatment and support at school.
When symptoms significantly affect daily functioning, medication management may also be considered as part of a thoughtful and carefully monitored treatment plan.
Our providers take time to evaluate your child’s needs and discuss options with you so that care remains personalized, collaborative, and appropriate for your child.
How involved are parents in the treatment process?
Parents play an important role in a child’s mental health care.
Our providers work closely with parents to help them understand what their child is experiencing and how they can provide support at home.
