Build the psychologist role that fits your expertise
Insight Therapy and Wellness is seeking a Maryland-licensed psychologist who wants meaningful clinical work without having to build the operational infrastructure alone. The position can center on psychological testing, therapy, doctoral supervision, program development, or a thoughtfully designed combination. You choose the areas that best match your training and professional goals.
You will join an established, multidisciplinary outpatient practice with a steady referral network, administrative and scheduling support, and opportunities to collaborate with psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, schools, pediatricians, and community partners.

Responsibilities and clinical focus
Primary responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and/or adults based on your scope of competence and preferred population.
- Select, administer, score, interpret, and integrate appropriate assessment measures.
- Produce clear, timely, high-quality reports with diagnostic formulation, practical recommendations, and treatment guidance.
- Provide feedback sessions that help patients and families understand findings and next steps.
- Collaborate with internal providers and, with proper authorization, outside referral sources such as schools, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain timely documentation and meet applicable ethical, licensing, payer, and organizational standards.

Doctoral supervision opportunity
Supervision is optional and separately compensated. Qualified psychologists may supervise doctoral practicum students and psychology interns within an expanding training program. Compensation may be structured as a private-pay supervision fee per hour or per supervisee, with the rate and expected responsibilities established in a separate written agreement. This pathway can be paired with testing, therapy, consultation, or leadership work and may be especially appealing to psychologists who enjoy teaching and developing emerging clinicians.

Experience with many of the measures below is valued; applicants are not expected to use every instrument listed. Final test selection should reflect the psychologist's training, competence, referral question, and available norms.

Qualifications
Required qualifications
- PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related psychology discipline from an appropriately accredited program.
- Active Maryland psychologist license in good standing, or confirmed eligibility for Maryland licensure before the anticipated start date.
- Training and experience in the administration, interpretation, and integration of psychological assessment data.
- Strong diagnostic formulation, report writing, interpersonal, and collaborative communication skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice, culturally responsive care, and timely documentation.
Especially valued
- Experience evaluating children and adolescents.
- Training in autism, ADHD, learning disorder, gifted, or psychoeducational evaluations.
- Knowledge of school-based recommendations, IEPs, Section 504 plans, and academic accommodations.
- Experience with private insurance documentation and authorization requirements.
- Interest in doctoral supervision, program development, consultation, or clinical leadership.
Compensation and engagement
This is a flexible independent contractor opportunity that may support a part-time schedule or a full caseload. Estimated compensation is $75 to $200 per hour, depending on the service provided, payer or private-pay arrangement, candidate experience, and agreed role responsibilities. Testing, therapy, supervision, consultation, and leadership work may be compensated under different structures. Specific terms will be reviewed transparently during the interview and documented in the applicable agreement.

<Location and scheduling
- Primary office: 305 West Pennsylvania Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21204.
- Hybrid structure available when clinically appropriate and permitted by licensure, payer, and service requirements.
- Applicants create their own schedules; a commitment of at least 10 hours per week is preferred.
- In-person availability is required for assessment services that cannot appropriately be completed remotely.
