Eseose (Ese) Azobua, CIT
Provides a supportive, open, non-judgmental space where sustainable treatment goals can be developed in order to achieve treatment. Her approach is person-centered using therapy to identify how one’s past experiences, influences and circumstances impact their mental health and with treatment, identify specific goals to target and address those triggers. The goal is to help clients build self-awareness, resilience, and a genuine sense of agency over their own well-being through trauma informed care. Ese believes that consistent and effective therapy can equip clients with the tools they need to reach a deeper, positive understanding of themselves to achieve their own healing.
She is a Clinical Master of Social Work student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has experience working in a mental health and substance abuse clinic as a case manager serving underserved and unhoused populations, assisting clients with receiving community resources and support. Ese is interested in working with adolescents and adults across the lifespan, specifically individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and addictions. In addition to working with individuals experiencing symptoms of mental health conditions, she seeks to help clients identify and utilize internal strengths to promote positive outcomes through difficult seasons.
Ese utilizes a Trauma-Informed Care approach incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She believes in using a multi-faceted, holistic approach to treatment factoring in the client’s social, economic, physical, and spiritual aspects of life. Ese looks forward to meeting all clients where they are and helping them on their path to healing.
